Yum.

Halloween Cupcakes!

These are long gone by now, but I'm slow to post, what with just getting back into the game and all. And also having no life to post about.
Okay, first, butter. That looks like popcorn.

Next, from what I remember, you need some eggs.

Smash them up and get fancy.

Admire my candy corn nail polish. You will need tons of flour, some for just whipping around the kitchen and spilling on yourself.

Lookin' yum!

Also, happy birthday Sesame Street!

Okay, get out the adorable Halloween baking cups that were the inspiration for even getting it together to make these things in the first place.

Fill them sumbitches up!

Shove into oven. Watch 30 Rock while you wait for them to bake.

Ding! They're done! Find Pac Man.

Careful, because that sneak will eat some of your product!

There would have been about 10 more if it weren't for Pac Man.
Now, the icing. Did you know you would use a whole bag of icing sugar for your icing?

Now you do. Food colour!

It makes things more awesome. Food colour and mixer face!

You have to picture the beaters as a crazy tooth/mouth combo. See?
Okay, mix the food colour in, slam it on the cupcakes, add sprinkles that you forgot to take a picture of and bam!

Halloween cupcakes.
Try not to start downing them.

Fail.

Happy Halloween!

Gube-lo-Lantern!

Matthew Gray Gubler. Please note the inclusion of the world's greatest Adam's apple. And thank you, yes, my wallpaper is fabulous.

Now if you'll excuse me, there is about 50 pounds of candy with my name on it. It was special order.

Back in Black!

Yeah, that's right. I'm back. In black. You were expecting maybe yellow? Well, suck it.

New York City - Part II

Coney Island!

I have been a little in love with the Wonder Wheel for quite some time now. I'm not entirely sure why, but it may have something to do with how great it looked in this Beck video and this Tragically Hip video.

Watching them now, about 13 years or so after they were released, makes me wonder why the Wonder Wheel really stood out to me so much, since it was not exactly prominently featured.

Did I mention I got a new camera?!

I just have a thing for ferris wheels I guess, even though they are pretty low on the excitement scale. Unlike the Cyclone!

This was a super fun ride! Roller coasters rarely fail at being fun.

Here is a view from inside the Wonder Wheel:

As some of you may know, I'm also weirdly drawn to carousel horses, despite their creepiness. I mean, they look frozen in terror! Almost as if they are just realizing they are sinking in quicksand!

Speaking of terrifying:

I do not have any idea what is happening there. The shop underneath was not yet open for the season. I mean, it seems like it can be nothing other than legs in cat heads. And I know that's a wave behind it, but my brain sees it at cat head juice. The only way this could even slightly be explained is if the shop sold novelty slippers.

Moving on. Boo!

They missed me! Ee ee. Ee ee.

We also hit up the Staten Island Ferry for some free Statue of Liberty viewing.

It's not as big as you might think it is.

I have no idea what this statue is for. That's just the kind of tourist I am. Snap and bail.

We also hit up Jersey Gardens to do some serious shopping. That's hippo on the E.

This outlet mall was absolutely monstrous. It pretty much killed my legs and feet for the rest of the trip. Thanks mall. But I also got an awesome dress and shoes there. Thanks mall!

These were in a regular electronics/entertainment kind of store, which sort of blew my mind.

We ate at a 50's diner, because I adore 50's diners.

It was pretty good. The milkshakes were awesome. After about 8 hours or so of shopping, this is how I felt:

End of Part II.

I forgot this one last post!

New York City - Part I

So, let's start with the classics. First up, 30 Rockefeller Center:

And the view of Central Park from, possibly, the 70th floor:

The view sort of collapses under the weight of the smog. Radio City Music Hall was next door.

Next, we hit Times Square, because we felt like we hadn't seen enough advertisements yet.

Or cabs.

Ira Glass and Jenna James. Dare I say... Brains before beauty?

Quik!

We were lucky enough to end up in Times Square again at night, when it was much more fabulous:

There's a giant Toys R Us in Times Square, so of course we went in, to see the indoor ferris wheel!

I'm not really sure why an indoor ferris wheel would be so exciting, but it really was. See how excited Geoffrey is?

We didn't go on it though, because it was four bucks. We were all "Four bucks to move slowly in a circle? Forget it." So we moved on to My Little Pony.

Clever:

That totally cracked me up, even though it was almost too clever for its own good.

Speed Racer car!

So pretty. More to come later!

Hello New York!

So, I've been in New York City for the past week, hence the lack of posts. Although, I've been slack about posts lately so maybe it seemed normal that nothing had been posted. Anyway, here's one to get you started until I resize some more pictures. And here's some Rizzo, to tide Windrider over!
